A new type of technology called the ‘sphere pixels’ has been developed by the makers of the ‘outer sphere’ technology which can create a holographic image using the light from other spheres.
The ‘outer spheres’ technology uses lasers to ‘project’ information onto a sphere and the images created by this technology are projected onto a screen.
In a new video, the makers reveal the technology and its potential applications.
The new technology, called the “Sphere Pixel” technology, is being developed by a team at MIT’s Media Lab, and will be used by universities to create ‘virtual spaces’ which are a way to create holograms.
The concept of ‘virtual spheres’ is to create virtual spaces in which people can go to learn, meet and share ideas, and to share experiences with each other.
This virtual space will be connected to a physical space via the ‘virtual sphere’ or the ‘inner sphere’, which will be able to be used to create a virtual environment in which the two virtual spaces can interact and share information.
The idea is to make the spheres interact, and share, in ways that would be impossible for a person to see.
The spheres will be made to look like a pair of hands holding a book or a pair or three books.
The book will be projected onto the sphere and will have the user see the ‘hand’ and the ‘book’ simultaneously.
The spheres can be placed on a virtual stage for events, or they can be ‘disappeared’ from the stage and placed in a virtual location.
The researchers behind the project, called “Spheres and the Inner Sphere” were working on this project as part of their Masters thesis.
They developed the technology while in MIT’s Graduate Student Residency Program.
In an interview with TechCrunch, the researchers said they had no idea that the technology would be used in virtual spaces until they began working on the project.’
We’ve been working on it for a long time,’ said Zhiyong Wang, an associate professor at MIT.
‘We’re excited about the future.’
The researchers said the technology has the potential to create an immersive and meaningful experience for people in virtual worlds.’
It’s a new way of working in virtual space,’ Wang added.
‘The inner sphere is like a hologram, it’s the same idea as the ‘eye of the beholder’, but with the idea of the sphere as the image.”
The idea of a sphere is that when you look at it, the sphere is the image, so you can see the image and know what it is,’ Wang said.
‘You can look at your sphere and know that it is the same sphere as you.’
The technology is a way of creating a holograms for a virtual space, but it could also be used for more traditional types of applications such as education, said Wang.’
This technology could be used as a kind of immersive educational experience,’ he said.’
You could put it on a screen and say to your students, ‘What’s the meaning of this?”
This is something that could be applied to education, as well.’
In the video, Wang explained how the sphere technology works.
The sphere is placed on top of a spherical screen.
A projector is used to project a sphere onto the screen.
When the sphere appears on the screen, a holography is created by the projector.’
If the sphere looks real, then it means it’s a hologrant,’ Wang explained.
‘If it doesn’t, it means the sphere doesn’t have a real image on it.’
The sphere is projected onto an image, which is then projected onto another sphere,’ Wang continued.
‘As the sphere moves around, the image of the other sphere is moved around to give you an illusion of what it was like when it was there.’
In that way, you can create the illusion that the other two spheres are moving around and then you see the same holographic images.’
And that’s how you get the illusion of being in the room with your eyes closed, but you don’t see what the image is,’ he added.’
So that’s one way of manipulating the projection of the holograms on the sphere.’
While the technology may be used on a variety of occasions, Wang said the idea is for it to be more commonly used for ‘instructional’ purposes.’
There’s a lot of potential here for this type of project in education, but in other contexts, you might want to be able, for example, for instance, to create educational experiences using this technology,’ he explained.
