CBS News is bringing you the next generation of liquid-tolerance cameras for all your shooting needs.
The new cameras, which are already available for the Apple iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, include a liquid-coating technology that can help protect your precious film when exposed to high temperatures and humidity.
The camera’s technology is made possible by an advanced polymer coating.
When a liquid is sprayed on a surface, a layer of that polymer coating absorbs the water vapor that gets stuck to the film.
The water absorbs the chemical energy from the film molecules, then releases it as heat.
The heat then condenses onto the surface of the film, and the film begins to degrade.
The new Liquid-Spray Camera technology has the ability to protect the camera’s camera sensor, while allowing for easy removal of film.
Liquid-spraying a film allows you to remove film, without damaging the sensor, in order to prevent scratches.
Liquid-sprays can be used on any surface, including metal surfaces, and can be applied to any surface with no harmful effects on the sensor.
It also can be put on surfaces that don’t contain film, such as in the front of an iPad.
