NEW YORK – March 6, 2019 — The technology behind the world’s most advanced drone is now ready for your smartphone, but not everyone is so lucky.
In the video above, we take a look at what’s inside the newest iteration of the bee-O-Sphere device, and how it’s connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
The device has already been tested with a range of devices, including an iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, as well as Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus, Sony Xperia X, Apple iPhone 6, iPhone 7, Apple Watch, Amazon Echo, Google Home, and Microsoft HoloLens.
The bee-spheres are a new technology in the world of drones, with the first set of devices being made by Honeywell, and the second set by Quanergy, an Israeli company.
But the technology is still very much a work in progress.
As the world moves to a world where drones are more prevalent, we’re seeing more and more devices become connected to the internet, which means that drone operators are increasingly using their smartphones as a means of communicating with their fellow pilots.
But for those who don’t have a smartphone, there are still some ways to make your drone function better and more efficiently.
We’ve been working with Honeywell to create a smartphone that can connect to a drone via Bluetooth, Wi-FI, GPS, and Bluetooth Low Energy, and is then able to receive data about what’s going on.
We’re still working on the final specifications, but you can see how that’s going to work in the video below.
Honeywell, Quanergy and Honeywell’s partner, the Honeywell-owned Xtreme Aerospace, will also be working on an updated version of the drone that can be connected via Bluetooth Low Power.
It’ll also be able to communicate with your smartphone via Wi-fi.
And this new drone can be paired with any smartphone, including the latest Apple and Samsung phones, including iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.
